Jett Turns Two...

What a great way to celebrate a two year olds' birthday ..... renting the biggest, softest, rubber, bouncy play land with four walls and a slide inside, throwing it outside, and letting the kids have at it! The kids had so much fun, there were smiles galore and the weather was sunny and perfect! This thing was so much fun you should have just seen what the adults looked like jumping around while the birthday boy was napping and again after the small guests had gone! What a blessed event full of family, friends and fun!

The Birthday Boy!

Avery trying to convince Jett to sit up and take a picture with her, obviously not working, but just plain adorable of the two of them!

And now for the jumper action with Lindsey and Averi in the mix!

Pops and Aves having a good ole time...

Yaya and Tim observing the rough-housing...

Everyone was in and out all day...

Resting on Daddy's head and shoulders ... Just precious.

Great-granny Nanny even joined in on the fun!

Looking a little tired but glad to be in the red car, too.

I think Dave spent as much time in there as the kids! He's so good with them all and made sure they all had fun and a share at the slide. I don't know how many times he threw kids over that slide ... what a great Dad!

To Infinity and Beyond...

So, this "photo" of Avery is from the summer of '09 created by my Uncle Ben who lives in California. I have been meaning to post this for years now cause it just makes me laugh every time I see it ..... well it resurfaced, so here it is! Hope it makes you smile too!

Can't Sleep

Avery has learned lots of cute little sayings and this is my favorite for the time being. This is her way of delaying nap time and bed time. She usually repeats herself a dozen times, but I only got a few out of her this go around. Thanks to the Fresh Beat Band, she thinks by saying this that I will let her out of bed or sing just one or two or ten more songs! She is such a character!

Water Views and a Train Ride

Before I get you updated on our family, I have to mention the Grigsby family who have been going through another difficult pregnancy. Amy is due the end of this month or early April with a baby girl named Harper. Harper has heart problems and is having difficulty growing, so please add this family to your prayers, thanks. Get full updates on their blog which is listed under Dustin and Amy on this page.
And now on a lighter note, here are some pics of our much needed family get-away
to Lake Buchanan for fishing and a ride on the Austin Steam Train in the hillcountry:
got to love the hillcountry and a touch of humidity after a such dry winter!

Avery enjoyed the train ride. While we wanted to sit and watch the scenery go by, she was all about walking back and forth from car to car. "Come on, let's go walkin!", she would say over and over with much excitement! So Nana, Dave and myself rotated as she pleased. It was neat to see all the different styles of cars, some with seats, some with tables, some with their own private rooms, plus the concession stand and souvenir shop on board. Nana bought a train book with stickers which helped us all sit for a while as Aves added stickers to it and eventually to Daves legs...whatever gives you a minute to rest.
