Important Potty Update...

Avery started teething at 4 months and by 1 year she had all her teeth plus her molars! She started sleeping through the night by 5 months! Crawling and walking didn't come til months 10 and 13, but potty training has been in the works since 19 months! She has been ahead of the game in most areas! And my proudest is in the potty area, literally! In the Dallas hotel, she decided to poop in the potty and has continued to do so this whole week minus one mishap in the diaper! She hardly has a wet pull-up and usually tells me when she needs to go, especially "boop"! Though there are times it's just a way of getting out of the high chair or any other situation! She's such a smart girl! Again, sorry no pictures, this is much too private for a young lady! ;)

Family Vaca's are the Best!

It's officially summer! It's hot, for sure, so what else is there to do but go on vacation and be hot somewhere else! We spent a great weekend in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area where we met up with our dear friends from Hot Springs, the McAdams! They once lived here so close and in touch but with a job offer they moved only 13 hours away, very sad! So now once a year, at least, we meet up and this just happened to be the spot right in the middle! Aves (21 months) and Malachi (20 months) were just so sweet to each other. They started off with several hugs, more so from Aves, and she even snuck in a kiss which landed on his cheak as he tried to get away. He was such a cutie and taught Avery what the elephant, monkey and dog say, thank you Malachi! (She's actually making the elephant and monkey noises as I write!) We tried teaching him what donkey's say since that's her favorite, but I don't think he was interested at the time! The kids got to swim and then off to the Ft Worth Zoo to meet up with my brother and nephew, Jett (13 months)! Jett welcomed us with a lap and carseat full of barf! Eww (as Aves would say)! It must have been due to the car ride or just teething cause he was perfectly fine the rest of the morning! The kids seemed to like the zoo and would point here and there to different things. They're a bit young to fully enjoy it all, we know, but we all had a great time there with our kiddos!

This is her tickle face she makes while tickling belly buttons and saying "deedeedee!" Malachi doesn't seem to think it tickles!
Are you ready to swim? Why, are you ready to swim? Are you going to share that turtle?

Closest thing to a group shot! Hollee I will have to send you this one!

Those rhinos sure are neat but boy do they stink!
Like father, like son!

Admiring the kangaroos!

A sweet good bye hug for Malachi!

I'm not quite sure what she's doing, but it looked cute from this angle!

These are the best kinds of pictures!

A Series of Events! Yippee!

Aves and I surprised Dad for his 30th Birthday by inviting a few buddies and family for a day of fun! I think us moms enjoyed it just as much as the guys did! Then we headed to Lake Amistad with his family for some fishing and boating! She's saying "cheese" although her version is "deese"!

Freedom at last, or so they think!
Super-mom...three girls and a little boy on the way!

Nothing says birthday fun like a good ole game of horse shoes!

Girls just wanna have fun!

Getting a first taste of Dads' 30th Birthday cake!

She might have enjoyed the boat ride a little more if it weren't for that bulky life jacket!

She loved throwing rocks in the lake!

Too cute for words!

Great-Grannie Nannies' beautiful Iris' and new gazebo!

Playing catch-up! Easter with both families and a stomach bug in between! Avery got the hang of hunting eggs this year. She took her time searching for eggs and didn't mind dropping a few to go back for later. Her basket was either worn on her shoulder like a purse or she used it like a walking cane limping on every other step! She and Dave got the stomach...it was a bad one this time. But fortunately they got over it fairly quickly. She also got her first pedicure just in time for her to wear her Easter dress! She loved watching me paint them and wanted to help so badly! She couldn't resist touching them, so it took several rounds of touch-ups until I could get the hair dryer blowing on them! Then she enjoyed "telling" everyone about it!

Our sweet girl!

Us, Aves and her two and a half cousins...Ashleys' due in Nov., yeah!

More hunting with my side of the fam!!
Totally ignore my scary face 'cause she was super excited about her first pedicure! Just look at that face (her's, of-course!)!

Matchy, matchy!
