The James Family: Phew, what a month!

Oh my, it's been a while since the last blog! And by reading all of your great blog-happenings, I'm really far behind! Well, let's see...since I last wrote we have been to Fredericksburg with Nana and Papa then swung by Austin to meet little Harper...came home for a bit...then off to San Angelo to meet the James gang at the Rodeo...came home for a bit and enjoyed a few snow days...left for Dallas with Nani and Pops to visit Jason and Jett then swung by Abilene and met the Boyds at the Zoo...Avery got tonsillitis and ran fever for a week (poor thing)...we rushed her to get over it so we could visit with my dads' family from California and Austin while they were here for a whole week...plus Kreek stopped by for a quick visit, as well...phew, what a month!

Meanwhile, Avery is now 19 months and building on personality, independence and words! She still loves to entertain...her latest is "accidentally" falling, scanning the room for a reaction, then laughing out loud! She insists on eating like a big girl with an "adult" fork...I'm impressed how well she hits her mouth...she loves to eat! She also wants to hold her own cup of yogart and feed herself one messy spoonful at a time, then gladly hands it over for me to help with the last few bites that she can't scrape off the sides! She has also pottied a few more times in her little potty! Her vocab has expanded to up, down, go, stop, on, off, ta-dah! (when she enters a room!), hi, hot,ow, uh-oh, dad, I'm still dah although she is saying mom a little more often, Nana and almost Nani (just wait Nani, it will come! :), dog, duck and she tries to say cow though it just comes out as ow, please, and everyones favorite Tic-Toc! She has the sweetest tone to each of these words! We love watching her entertain and attempt new words! She knows just how to melt our hearts!

She absolutely loved watching the barrel races! She would point and say "uh-oh" everytime the horses left the stadium!

Ok, this is the only pic of Aves in a diaper, ha! But we worked up a sweat doing laudry! Plus even the clothes on her back were dirty and needed a washin'!
