Hot, windy, dry and did I mention hot?! That about sums up this summer thus far. We have had a few fun get-aways but mainly we're just trying to stay cool here around the house. Here are a few moments in our backyard. Avery is usually eager to get outside especially when she finds her boots. Yes, it's 101 degrees outside and she wants to wear boots up to her knees. She tries to wear them to town but just I don't let that happen. Today our neighbors came over to visit for the first time in three years and do you know what she had on?? If you know me, she's usually all dolled-up but oh not this time...since she had just recently had a tee-tee accident she no longer was wearing shorts just panties with her yellow shirt, a pink tu-tu over her panties and pink and yellow rain boots plus her hair was a mess. At least she was color coordinated!
She's a real character, saying all kinds of funnies. Here's her latest one from when she stayed with Nani and Pops last week:
While playing Avery tooted and looked at Nani with a surprised look on her face.
Nani asked, "What was that?"
Avery replied, "That was my hiney. It burbed. It smell good."
Another one is from church last week. Dave got on to her and she told him no. Later I asked her why she told Daddy no and she said, "It was a accident."
Sure it was!
